Reiki is part of an ancient spiritual
healing tradition with its origins most recently in Japan.
Reiki is considered a technique for balancing the yin and
yang energy in the body. It is not affiliated with any
religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it
based on a belief system or suggestion. The understanding behind all energy healing modalities is that a person's "ki" (also known as 'chi', 'qi', 'prana', and 'mana' in different Eastern cultures) should be strong and free-flowing, creating a positive state of health in mind, body, and spirit. When the ki becomes weak or blocked, it often leads to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance. Reiki increases the ki thereby reducing stress and promoting the relaxation that allows the body to heal itself. |

Reiki treats the whole person: the body, emotions, mind, and spirit. It is administered by "laying on hands" although it isn't necessary to touch the client in order for the energy to flow. It is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing that everyone can use. It works well with, and supports, allopathic therapeutic treatments to relieve side effects and promote recovery. The use of Universal Healing Energy is at the core of everything I teach, and I start the process through the medium of Reiki and Reiki Principles. Oak and Cedar Healing Arts offers classes for Reiki Levels 1,2,3 (ART), and Master/Teacher. Classes are kept to a maximum of 6 students and are followed by an opportunity to participate in Reiki Share sessions to provide students with a place to practice new skills and discover their Reiki community.
As part of the Reiki series I also offer courses in techniques that work with Reiki to more effectively assist clients in their healing process. These classes include working with chakras and meridians as well as a number of auxiliary disciplines that use Universal Healing Energy.
Due to allergy concerns, we ask that class participants provide their own lunches and snacks.
Coffee, teas, and water will be provided.

This is a 1 day course with some pre-class work (total 8
hours). The cost of the course is $150.00 with a $50.00
registration fee, the balance due before course day.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have received: A Reiki Level 1 Certificate. A Reiki Level 1 Manual. A Reiki Level 1 Attunement. Forms for Canadian Reiki Association Membership. An understanding of Reiki principles and its history. Hand positions for self, sitting and table Reiki. Access to Reiki share evenings. This course does not prepare students to practice Reiki professionally. |
This is a 2 day course with some pre-class work (total
12 hours). The cost of the course is $250.00 with a
$75.00 registration fee, the balance due before course
day. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have received: A Reiki Level 2 Certificate. A Reiki Level 2 Manual. A Reiki Level 2 Attunement. An understanding of the body's energy fields and how they function in maintaining good health. Practice with a full 3-step treatment. Reiki symbols used by a practitioner and an understanding of their use. The Three Pillars of Reiki used to prepare a practitioner for the delivery of a treatment. Discussions around starting and documenting your own Reiki business. |

Additional Reiki Techniques |

This is a 3 day course with some pre-class work (total
16 hours). The cost of the course is $700.00 with a
$200.00 registration fee, the balance due before course
the first course day. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have received: A Reiki Master Certificate. A Reiki Master Manual. A Reiki Master Attunement. Reiki Master Symbols. A full understanding of and practice doing 1st, 2nd, and Master Level Attunements, both present and distance. Practice using Distance Reiki. The Byosen Technique. Practice teaching a Reiki class Levels 1, 2 & Master. |
These are typically 3 hour morning courses (9 - noon).
The cost of each of these courses is $50 with a
$25 registration fee, the balance due on the day of the
course. Reiki Drumming: This technique uses vibration to inform the practitioner if the treatment is complete, to finish off setting the chakras to proper vibration, and to 'seal in' a treatment. Dowsing with Pendulums: The dowsing pendulum is an ancient tool used for obtaining information from beyond normal consciousness. It helps to enhance the intuition of the practitioner. Crystals: Crystal energy has a long tradition of being used for healing. Crystal therapy is a gentle non-invasive form of alternative healing that works holistically to harmonize the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. |
